Young Kasimir and Axel talking about the future. Kasimir does indeed keep his promise about helping the poor. And he never truly forgets Axel. When he was 10 and his father, Gotham, removed him from public school, he forbid Kasimir from having any interaction whatsoever with Axel, even though Kasimir desperately tried. After he left public school, Kasimir's life took a dark turn that could not be undone. But if this picture doesn't signal foreshadowing then I don't know what does.

It's strange how these little cuties grow up to be to be two of the most feared men in history. Unfortunate really....
